Fishme, you must live in a trailer, because everyone who's ever seen a UFO, lives in a trailer (sorry, couldn't resist). But, I think that yes, this universe is much too large for us to be the only ones out there.

no i didnt, but that would surely suck! I got first dibs on the TIE Fighter Imagine that "UFO" was on a friendly diplomatic mission, and in 2 light years we will be "suddenly and deliberatly attacked" Then the boys in green astronaut suits will have to kick butt!

masta j ,it was on tv,one of those ufo shows.it was real .somebody else here has to have seen it ,its been on a couple shows as a matter of fact.nasa says its "space debris" but ,if you see the video,its clearly controlled action/reaction.honestly looks like a missle or something is fired at it and it EASILY avoids it,waiting til the last split second to move.theres at least a couple other videos that trip me out,somevideo from an argentinian fighter trying to chase one .the one of ufos,dozens,over mexico city.anyway im rambling now .how about the did man land on the moon controversy .pjotos "taken on the moon' HAVE SHADOWS GOING IN DIFFERENT DIRECTIONS in the same pics this can ONLY mean that there was more than one light source.also photos 'taken in different locations'look like the EXACT same spot as other photos.now im REALLY rambling

Actually I saw it in Ft Lauderdale and it moved right over the Lauderdale Strip. Other people saw it to , not just me. I was CLOSE so there was no mistaking it for something else. NO plane , NO weather baloon, NO helicopter. This thing was unbelievable the way it moved from one place to another across the sky but twice it came right back to where it was . When it finally left for good there was a big flash of colors, seriously , kind of like on star trek when the enterprise went into warp speed. I was totally amazed at what I was watching. This happened back in the 70's and even now to this day it almost seems like it didn't really happen but IT DID.
There is a resturant where this thing was hovering above , it is about 10 to 15 stories tall and the top of the building actually looks like a UFO, and it spins one revolution every hour.
I imagine the ufo inhabitants were thinking it was some kind of space ship and were checking it out because it was hovering directly above it within what looked like 50 feet or so. From that point it flashed across the sky to a point way off in the distance and then it was right back again in a split second. Then it slowly moved toward the ocean and then it flashed across the sky to a distant point and then again in a split second it was right back again. Then it made the flash of colors and was gone for good.
I was in a car traveling towards the ocean at the time and was able to watch it as I was driving for about 1/2 mile and went to pull over on the beach so I could get out of the car and just watch it with out trying to drive at the same time but that was when it took off for good.
The name of the resturant was and might still be called PIER 66.Anyone from South Florida most likely knows the building and agree that it looks like a ufo.
I wanted to see another ufo after that one beacuse it was so cool but have not seen another one since.

Most people will not believe this story but all I can say is that I know what I saw and a friend was with me and he could draw a picture of it.
I also came across some people in Orlando a few years ago and the ufo subject came up and they mentioned that they new someone that told them about the same sighting, this gave me goose bumps because it was a real confirmation that someone else had seen the same thing.
So thats my story and I'm stickin to it !!!!

I saw the vidio you are talking about. Believe me , I really watched just about every special show on ufo's since my sighting.
I can't believe we have not had some actual verification / contact, clear photo of these things yet.
I think it would be life fulfilling to actually witness the first formal meeting of an extraterrestrial being !!!!!
Although it might be a little SCARY !!!!!

OR, Your description has just relit my memory, I HAVE seem that ALSO!! I think that is crazy...

I also swear that the moon landin was a hoax...I mean EVERY single picture I have seen has been either...A) the same pic or B) the front of the suit in shadows while the visor has light reflecting off of it!!! weird, huh?
