Let's take a moment....

...to pray for all the men and women who are the EMT's, paramedics, fire fighters, police officers, volunteers, blood donation centers, etc. etc. etc. So many of them have lost their lives to hopefully help others. Some of them have made the ultimate sacrifice. My prayers also go out to them...and the surviving emergency workers who will remember the horrors they see for the rest of their lives.

"One hand reaches out and pulls a lost soul from harm...while a thousand more go unspoken for...they say what good have you done by saving just this one...it's like whispering a prayer in the fury of a storm.

And I hear them saying you'll never change things. And no matter what you do it's still the same thing. But it's not the world that I am changing. I do this so the world will know it will not change me.

As long as one heart still holds on, then hope is never really gone.........." The Change-Garth Brooks

Great post Joanne. I was said to my wife this evening "If I could get there right now, I would be there to help in any way I could." If I could be there to help save even one life, then I would feel much better than I do now. I feel like I have been kicked in the gut. I don't know anyone in either of the places attacked, but I still wish that I could be there to help.

I truely hope that those responsible for this are caught quickly and pay for their crime with their lives. If they are not caught, then I will be satisfied knowing that those who are responsible will be brought to justice when they meet their maker.

I feel that the country will rally together in the wake of this terrible event. The US will not allow this tragedy to beat us. The attached image is a great example. The American flag still stands regardless of the destruction surrounding it.

Great pic Andrew. Great words. I'm just at a loss for words right now. So much dispair knowing all those poor people are trapped alive in that rubble. Many prayers going on here.
