http://www.spaceweather.com/ http://antwrp.gsfc.nasa.gov/apod/astropix.html http://www.ipac.caltech.edu/2mass/gallery/second/ http://www.meade.com/ http://seds.lpl.arizona.edu/nineplan...neplanets.html http://www201.pair.com/resource/astr...le-vue-optics/ A 10" Dobsonian reflector would be a nice inexpensive start. I have a TeleVue 4" apochromatic refractor. Refractors give high-resolution, high-contrast images but are expensive. Reflectors are cheaper and capture more light for the buck. It's not just a matter of what you can see, but how well you can see it. And the seeing conditions (weather) play a big part in this. But a 10" Dobsonian is an excellent choice in that price range. Check out the complete line of Meade Instruments scopes. They probably offer the best value no matter what price range or type scope you decide on. It's all a matter of how much money you want to invest. Good luck, Ninong ![]() Facta, non verba. Fiat justitia. |
