-*Reefland Live Sand Order*-

Last week Reefland received payment for a small order of live sand. I was told this order would be shipped out Monday. I have yet to receive any confirmation of shipment, tracking number, much less a package. After sending numerous emails and placing a few telephone calls I still know virtually nothing about my order. I hate to post this here but this seems the only way to get someone to answer email. I can understand if something has happened or if there are personal problems but hell - return a phone call or send an email saying Sorry your order is going to be delayed. There would be NO problem if that was the case. Instead I've spent the last couple of afternoons, my valuable time, waiting on a package they may not have shipped yet. I am very shocked that I would receive this type of customer service from this place. My last order which was dry SD sand I had NO Problem with. Except a problem with my credit card, which Reefland was not at fault I don't believe. Maybe I should have just spent the extra cash and ordered from Premium Aquatics and I wouldn't have had this ongoing problem. and I am sure this post will endanger my membership at the board, if it does than so be it.

I just sent you an e-mail regarding this but I feel my note should be made public as well. Rest assured, your membership will remain.

Eric,

First let me offer my sincerest apologies. With some recent events that have occurred in my life, it has reduced my time with Reefland to nothing. Regardless of my life, I have a commitment to you and other hobbyist. Your order was passed on to a partner and I don't know what the status is, whether it has been shipped at this point or not. Based on your e-mails, probably not. What I am going to do immediately, as with every other pending order is refund your money, regardless of the order status. Since you mailed a money order made out to Reefland, you refund will come in the mail by way of cash or check. This will be sent via Priority Mail (to ensure delivery) and can be expected no later than Saturday.

To prevent anything like this from happening again, I have decided to close the store. This has taken place immediately in order for our fellow reefing friends to get the service they deserve. Again, I apologize for the delays that we have caused you, and hope that the refund will resolve this issue and not further impair our relationship.

Kindest Regards,
Scott Z.

Very Very sincere Scott and I thank you for that. I can fully understand problems happen, it was just communication that got to me. Sorry to hear that the store is closing.

Mark I really dont give a damn what you or anyone else thinks for that matter. I am a senior in high school and make a whopping $6 an hour with my job. When I send my money to a company for a product I expect fair customer service and to actually receive that producut I actually dont care if it was $5 and I would keep on until I get my money. If the money wasnt going to be here Saturday than that shouldn't have ever been stated. If my order was never going to be fufilled and shipped, it should have never been accepted. Get my point ?
"If you dont get a refund for a month, than I'd be concerned." HA - I do not care when you would be concerned, and never asked for your opinion. If any of the moderators or admins of this board had a problem with me posting the updates to this ongoing problem than Iam sure they would have said something. Until than, keep your opinion to your self.
By the way Rick responded to my email very quickly the other day and I appreciate that.

Eric is absolutly right in this matter, I have emaild him and it will be taken care of!
Here is the post I made at Reefcentral for those who do not/ can not go there.....
Quote:
Just an update to those members following this reefland screw up. I have taken over Erics problem And have personnaly guarented ( not much faith left in that word) him that he will have his money by this saturday. At the ttime of his transactions and proceedings, I was in the process of moving and offline and had no knowledge of this matter.
If though this is not an excuse and does not really make it right. I have and will put this matter to a close with a sincere apology to all those involved and having to watch this.
We at reefland had strived to make a good name and have people feel comfortable with us, and somewhere along the way, that fell apart???

Steve,
I had to order one more adapter plug from pfo to go to the ice cap ballast I ordered it overnight shipping and should be in on friday, This weekend I will personnal finish up your hood and get it on its way to you!
This is the email I have sent to Steve (Rueg) To keep all of you up to date on his hood.
If any one has questions or comments, please feel free to email me. I will respond to any and all, even if they are understandable rude.

Salt,

It was just getting old hearing about Eric whinning about his money, and I was hoping he would just deal with it in a adult way, instead of the attitude that he was taking of being ripped off.

I am sure others here must have felt the very same way as I do.

I know I would and have handled it better when there have been issues with my orders from reefland. You didn't see me crying to all the boards... I contacted Scott, and dealt with it.

But then again I am not a kid in high school.

Yeah you - "contacted Scott and dealt with it" Old wise one I could not contact Scott. Called the number listed on the site several times, left 2 messages, did he return my calls ? No ~ Were my emails returned ? No - I posted on this board in the first place because it was the only way I could contact Scott. As if it's any of your business. I proudly say that I posted my experience on Reef Central. Isin't that what the vendors section is for ? And when I receive my refund I'll post that I finally got my money back. People here have had bad experiences with other places are are QUICK to report them to the board, God forbid I report my experience with reefland ? When a person says to expect your money no later by Saturday and it isin't here , you get the feeling of being ripped off. When you make numerous phone calls and emails and dont hear anything, you get the feeling your being ripped off. Hell even my mother said "Is this even a legit buisness, I wouldn't order from them again." Im going to love the day when this happens to you so I can tell you to shut the hell up and stop whining.

Well at least Rick (saltjunkie) says your money is on the way.

As for you icemark, Why don't you send me about $50.00 and in about 5 or 6 weeks I might send you something back you have my word. I promise, ok. But if you don't get anything I don't want to hear any whinning about it. I'll just sit here with your money and laugh my butt off.

Thanks,
DRLOWZ
Dont forget $50.00 to me ok

There is always certified mail to contact people that are not returning your mail, calls, etc, Eric... Then you have a legally recognized record, that if you need to do legal action to get your funds or whatever you can prove you tried.

Also next time you buy something you may wish to use your parents credit card (with their permission of course) as if you don't get the item you order you can always despute the charges and have them reversed/credited to back to your account.

You know if you want to take that attitude of someone ripping you off that’s your biz... but frankly (and I am not saying anyone at Reefland did this) if someone was bugging to me about how long its taking to get a back a check and continuing to harass me on some boards, I am sure that I wouldn't go out of my way to get that money back to him. It will get there when it gets there.

But if someone is saying,” gee, I am sorry your having problems, when you get a chance can you take care of my issue, or is there something I can do to help speed things along?" I certainly would try and take care of the issue fast.

I am not saying I won't get ripped off at some point... but you sure as hell won't ever see me blasting the issue all over the boards if I do.

Drlowz:
Oh and heres that $50 you wanted... I will chalk it up to lessons learned in life. feel free to print it out as many times as you wish

Is it your intention to imply your own brother is "sitting there with someones money and laughing his butt off?"...

Good Grief...

Are you step brothers or something

It'd be a quiet Thanksgiving at my house... bro...

Whatever dude ~ I have not been harassing anyone, rather you are the one that continues to "flame" and harass me. I already told you once I dont care about your opinion on the matter buddy. I honestly cannot wait til the day you have a bad experience. Dont tell me you wouldnt be right here posting about it, because I know better. I received my live sand from Premium Aquatics today. Sent in my money Monday, and I already have my sand. Alerted me when payment arrived, when my package was sent out. Now THAT's great customer service. And I'll be sure to post about them in the vendor section of RC As well. Frankly if a business considers a customer trying to contact them seeing if their package has been shipped yet as "bugging them" than they indeed have the wrong occupation. I am sure when you ask for that status of one of your orders wether it be pizza, a new lighting setup or something you think "Ah geez I am going to bug them." Your statements are far-fetched. So now its not okay to ask a company what the status of your order is, even if doing so by this message board. And now its okay to post your experiences (good or bad) with any other MO company but is forbidden to do so with Refland? Screw that!

Angry

In defense of Reeland, I have placed several orders in the past and got great service. This instance is an isolated one. I too was waiting for an order. It never came. I too was promised that my check was still in the mail and I still have not recieved it. I DO know that I WILL! There is no one conning anyone here. Scott had some personal problems that kept him away from the store.

Several people have posted both good and bad reviews of Reefland Shopping. They were treated fairly, just as you were here. Let it go. Take it up with Rick by e-mail from now on. There is nothing left for you to say and personally, I am getting tired of hearing it. If I were the Moderator, this thread would have already been closed. ENOUGH!
