Today two funerals took place
Just blocks from my house,
Two men were put to rest

They gave their lives as that
was their duty. As death stare down,
they stormed up the buildings.

Flight after Flight of stairs
Those to be saved ran down,
while they ran up.

To save one more person was
worth it all. They laid down their lives
so one could go on.

In memory of the NYFD, and of the NYPD


I thought I would write this in memory of my Friends Father, who worked in the NYFD. I cant help but think, how that could have been my dad, who couldnt leave the his post to help.
