The Greatest Band in the World? The Who!

Did anyone else think that The Who absolutely blew every other band out of the water on the NYC Benefit Concert on Saturday?

They out-rocked, out-performed and out-classed everyone else there, including McCartney.

Wink

Hey now!
An unbreakable bond was forged as Reinhold watched these guys pour their hearts out during the Zip to Zap festival in '69.

You can see the whole story, and learn of the yearly salmon fishing expedition Reinhold hosts for the Who's frontman in the soon to be released documentary "Roger and Me II".

Good Morning Schrocat! The Zip to Zap is one of my fondest (foggiest?) memories, eh. Unfortunately, 1976-87 are less clear, but hey, that's why they invented treatment centers, (alumnus, St. Mary's Rehab Center, Minneapolis, 1987.)

As far as salmon go, no salmon up here, just the "Barracuda of the North," the Jack (or as you folks call them, Great Northern Pike.)

If I was the suspicious sort, I might think that people here were making fun of me. Why, I think I'm going to leave this board forever again...

Reinhold,
Laughing with dude...laughing with!

Please don't leave, I hate those !@#$%@ "Goodbye Reefland" threads. People tend to overuse the emoticon in them, causing needless eye strain.

I saw Floyd in Giants Stadium and in Nassau, Long Island. Great shows, the outdoor one at Giants Stadium was better....the planes flying in and ou of Newark Airport made great trails... um, I mean visuals.

Saw the Who at Radio City for the Tommy reunion thing and at Giants Stadium the next year.

My favorite concerts are Neil Young, though. Plain and LOUD!!

I go see the Techno DJs a lot now, just a change in tastes.

I saw Floyd twice in 94, at Birmingham's Legion Field, and two days later at Bobby Dodd stadium in GA (that's where Ga Tech plays)

Great shows, Saw the WHO do Quadrophenia at Lakewood Amphi in ATL.

Probably The WHO, FLOyd or THE DEAD have been my favorite shows ever. Paul Simonand BOB Dylan are also on that list as well (they did a poorly publisized tour in 99, I saw them in Lafayette, LA, just drove over and bought tickets the day of the show.
