    Pricing Dsl and Cable

What do you guys pay, and what kinda pricing did it take to get you started? Such as activation fees and equipment fees. Also what provider are you all using.. I am wanting to get one or the other but so far everybody I have called is wanting all this money for this and that on the first bill..

Are you interested in lowriders or cars in general?

I have @ Home cable for a few years now. They gave me the first 3 months at $19.95 and then $39.00 after that. No set-up fee for installation and free network card but you could save $10 a month if you provide your own cable modem. About 3 months ago they raised the price $10 to $49. Bob

I think it was 9.00 to get the cable up and running and its 39.95 a month......IMO, its not worth it.

I think it was about 3 years ago that I got what was Mediaone Road Runner but is now ComCast. I paid $20/month for the first 3 months I think then 49.99/month after that. But when I had mediaone cable tv I only paid 39.99/month.

As for the equipment and setup = $0

My ethernet card was less expensive to get thru a local computer store then it was thru RR. (the RR tech told me where to go). Not only did I save about $60, I also got the card installed ahead of time, cutting down on the time it would take to get me up and running.

I do see that Best Buy sells my modem for ~$200.

Shop around - locally a lot of places are offering FREE cable modem thru the end of the year etc etc etc. Good luck!

I use Earthlink DSL. Free setup, $50/month, free modem and nic card. Customer service/support doesn't exist there.

    Earthlink here, too.

Started at $40 a month, went up to $50.

Customer service? I hope you like listening to Muzak on hold.

Other than that, no problems... it's never been down (at least not when I've been online).

You'll never go back to dialup.
