Any Bird owners here?

Well if there are could you recommend a good site for info on Parrots. And or a good UBB community for Parrots. I got a New Red Belly parrot for my birthday. And i have not kept a bird in five years. And just as our salt water hobby has change i'm sure bird keeping has too. So i would like to catch up on todays info, But have been unable to find any good sites. Thanks

Smile Bird owner here

First of all, congrats on your new fid (feathered kid). I am owned by a Catalina macaw (parents were a Scarlet macaw and a Blue and Gold macaw). I frequent Macaw Talk at www.birdsnways.com. They give good advice there. Also, for specific questions to your species, you can go to www.toolady.com. If you need any other info or just want to talk about birdy ways, let me know!

I gotta chime in here. I HATE BIRDS!!!!!! But only because they hated me first.I am being totaly honest here people.I have been literaly attcked by a bird on 3 seperate occasions.I was attacked by a black bird at work once, chased by a crow in my back yard, and my sisters parakeet dive bombed me once as a child. Not my fault they started it.Note to bird owners please keep them locked up.LoL funny but true.

I had a Conure (sp?) about 20 years ago. I gave it to my father-in-law. He kept the bird outside in a large cage. In less then a year he had 4 of them. They would come from all over the town.

The area that I live in has a large flock of wild parrots. I think their mostly Mexican Red heads. You can hear these birds coming from a mile away.

I had a neighbor about 15 years ago who had a large Blue n Gold Macaw. he used to keep it on a perch in the front yard during the day. He came home from work one day and guess what? yep! there on the perch was two Blue n Gold Macaws. He has had them ever since.
