Just what I expected from Garcia. Owens is wide open and he throws it short. Montana and Young he is not........

I was tempted to post during the half that things were looking better than I expected. The only thing that stopped me was the possibility that Brett Favre would still be playing in the fourth quarter.
After taking a sedative and a nap, I am trying to pretend that I don't care. Mooch may have needed this game. In spite of the 12-4 record, all is not hunkydory between him and the genius. And pretending that he was interested in the Notre Dame job because they won't talk to his agent about a contract extension didn't impress anyone. At least Gruden won his game. I don't know which is more difficult, trying to please Bill Walsh or trying to please Al Davis. Don't forget, the 49ers and Seifert parted ways in spite of Seifert's regular season record. They refused to give him a contract extension before his final year so he announced his retirement to go fishing. Somehow they had to pay him a million bucks while he went fishing as long as he didn't coach anywhere. Well, Mooch is fishing for a $3.6 million a year contract extension but the powers-that-be are not biting. Ninong |

i wouldnt be so quick to point the finger at garcia.the difference between his,and say montana's play probably isnt as great as the difference between rice and owens play. where was owens all day ?40 yards? meanwhile 39 year old rice has like 180 and a td last night .mooch has great offensive mind imo,but im not so sure he has what it takes to inspire/put fear into his players. in a few weeks we'll look back at what a great season we had and i dont think i would change anything until after next year . i dont think we so much lost ,as brett favre kicked our ass in the second half.nobody expected us to win anyway(did you?).my brother bet on the niners last week and i told him not to do it ................ next year if mooch and hearst are still with us i like our chances, remember were rebuilding ,and today could have went the other way, it was real close.jmo |

No, I didn't expect them to win today. I had a very bad feeling when they lost to the stupid Cowboys. If they had taken care of business there they would have been playing the Packers at 3-Com instead of Lambeau. Big, big difference!
I was really surprised that they went 12-4 considering what they had to work with thanks to all the salary cap policy decisions they inherited. Carmen was a wizard for a few years but the legacy lives on while the legends have moved on. And the salary cap mess will still be around for a couple more years. I'm sure Mooch and Hearst will both be back next year. But don't count on them coming to terms with Mooch on a new contract any time soon. He would have needed to win the NFC Championship for that to happen. Ninong |

Dude, like I said before. "Garcia couldn't read a defense if he was floating over the field"
He leaves his receivers crossing the middle wide open for a big hit evey F*($@# time. Take a look at Owens or Stokes crossing up the middle....he throws it high every singel time....they have to jump up to catch the ball and come down to a waitng defender. They wont last three seasone with that kind of BAD passing.... He can't make the long throw for the same reason he throws the ball high up the middle, he a short little pip squeek...... The 9ers didn't lose. Garcia lost it beacuse he's a little pip squeek who can't see over the defense..... I know we're rebuilding. Did better then I\all expected but that's no excuse for a pip squeek QB...... Pip squeekPip squeekPip squeekPip squeekPip squeekPip squeekPip squeek ![]() |

Well, they went the other route a few years back and it didn't work out, remember? What was that big kid's name that they took in the draft? Drunken something or other? The one that Walsh would not have taken if he had been in charge? Ninong |
