9er fans
I got to tell ya, I never thought we would be leading our division after 10 games. They seem to step up to the better teams and step down to the bad teams....I'm still not sold on Garcia yet, He's has not proven himself to me yet.

Yes, they have been a pleasant surprise! And just think, they almost beat the Rams in that game that they lost 30-26 and they should have beat Chicago in the nightmare game that they were leading by a country mile into the fourth quarter. The niners completely folded in that game or the Bears pulled off a miracle. Anyway, the niners could easily be 10-0 right now. I never did like Garcia, but I dislike him a lot less lately.
They scared me against the Panthers a lot. Let's keep our fingers crossed that they can beat the Rams and the Saints. Don't forget what happened to the Raiders a few years back when they were 8-1 only to not even make the playoffs. Ninong |

I'm not looking for them to go very far, just making the playoffs is enough for me right now. I've been a fan since 81 so I'm used to them winning their division. Your 100% correct, they should be 10-0.
You know what really yanks my chain. The TV coverage here in the LA area. They show the stinking Raidas (faders) every week, They even show the Chargers more then the 9ers, THEY SHOW THE LAMBS EVERY WEEK.....!@&&*^*(^%# that pi$$is me off. From the time the Raidas left up to 3 years ago they showed the 9ers every week, now I'm lucky to see them 6-7 time a year, unless I go to the local sports bar. Nice to see ya buddy, How are you feeling? Mark |

I've been a fan since early 1978 when I moved to California. So the past few years seemed like '78 and '79 all over again. I think the 49ers are as surprised as anyone, although they won't admit it.
Walsh is in his glory now because he's the one who touted Garcia so strongly two years ago. He tried to peddle him all over the NFL but nobody would listen. (Garcia's a local boy, as you probably know. I think he's from Gilroy.) Now Ray Rhodes is telling Walsh, "God, I should have listened to you." "God, you were right about Garcia." So now people are back to calling Walsh "God." I would say this: If the niners can beat St. Louis week after next and manage to not lose to the Saints, then I guess they have a chance to go all the way. I'm doing OK. Ran into complications and had to reschedule my surgery to Dec. 4th. I just want to get it over with so they can figure out what happens next. Ninong |

Mark and Ninong, you guys are crazy! You really need to get off those drugs and such. Your not sold on Garcia? What else do you want? I am a huge 49er fan as I was born there, but I am also a Seahawk fan here in Seattle. You don't know what a bad quarterback is (Stouffer, Krieg, McGwire, Mirer, Kitna, Hasselback). You have not had a bad one in like 20 years. Him and Owens will be in hall of fame...if he can stay healthy. That is the only thing I'm not sold on. Those 49er QB's seem to always be injury prone and not smart when it comes to sliding and staying healthy. If he can stay healthy, he will have impressive numbers in just 5 years. I am excited about this team and Owens also. If he can keep his mouth shut, he is the best reciever out there...over the part time Moss.

Sorry dude, your MAN was not the man today. I say this is going to be a BIG turn around for the 9ers. If they would have kept the game tight, win or lose things might not have changed too much. They got their clocks cleaned today. Their young and have a ways to go, maybe in a few years.
Garcia's not fit clean Montana's shoes ![]() |

That's actually a darn good question. I THINK they are, but I need to check. I kind of hope their AFC so there is the possibility someday of an all Texas superbowl.....

Just when I thought Garcia was going get me on his good side he comes down to earth. This guy couldn't read a defense if he was floating over the field. He will NEVER come close to Montana or Young.

i think its pretty obvious that the niners have been being very conservative the past few games and garcia in particuar is not playing the "balls out" style of play that he had in the beginning and thru the middle of the season.it all added up to a bunch of some small some not so small injuries that have piled up on him ,and he needs to be healthy for the playoffs.
im still bnehind garcia 100%,even if we lose the first game of the playoffs.....and its his fault.his numbers over last two years speak for themselves, and there is no way anyone thought the niners would be where they are this year. the team is young it might take another year, well see.i say they still have as good a chance as anyone(well ......maybe anyone except the rams ),especially if im right ,and garcia starts running for some first downs again . |
