Absolutely, he is one of the all time greats, I dont think there's music being made today that's not influenced by him or the Beatles collectively in some way.

I too agree that he will be missed.
It is not surprising to see the impact his death and acclaim that he received went as far as Tony Blair interrupting British life today in memoriam. A VERY interesting question was posed on a local radio station this morning to the effect - "Are there any American artists that are so critically acclaimed or appeal to such a wide base of the population, who would receive this same level of attention or impact day to day routine in America if they were to pass away?" The last example was probably the passing of Elvis. Any Votes??? I'd start with Springsteen on the list - |
