My work just installed Internet filtering software that denies access to any sports, entertainment, and shopping sites.
Now I can only access Reefland during my lunch hour, or from home.
Needless to say, work is going to be a lot more boring from now on. Anyone else have this crappy software at their job?

2 + 2 != 4
Two is only loosely associated with two by a plus sign and therefore doesn't enter the equation at all since it is only there by mere complicity. We shouldn't count it and leave well enough alone.

It's called WebSense, but I'm afraid it's not very aptly named.
The dang thing is, my department uses the Internet all the time for legitimate reasons. I'm finding a lot of the academic and government sites that I need are also blocked.As a nation, you're faced with the choice of taking over the world or offering good eats at reasonable prices.

anonymizer
no longer works? there are various websites scattered around that let you work around this, they basically re-header everything and make it look like it comoes from them. anonymizer was one of them...

Unfortunately, the second site is blocked. I can get to the first site but I'm a little nervous about downloading/installing software for this purpose. I'm going to look around for more re-headering type sites. They also periodically add the anonomizer sites to the filtered sites database.
Just to mix it up a little...
