    Finally! Snow!!!

At long last, we're getting a bit of snow! It's only a dusting as I look out the window, but the weather folks are calling for maybe a few inches. Last year at this time we had been buried for three weeks. I do like the white stuff for a while, and it is great to have some at Christmas. Kind of refreshing after a week of rain. Now where did I put that shovel? JWT
    It aint' pretty being easy.

We got another 6 inches of the stuff overnight. That gives us about 4 feet in our backyard right now just within the last few weeks.

I do not EVER remember a snow-less Christmas up her in the Hinterlands! Yet, here I sit, looking at a frozen lake and bare, brown land. This is unbelievable.

We've missed one third of winter already. The temp today is still in the double digits, 12 degrees F. I haven't even started wearing my winter coat yet.

OMG, I have been suffering from 70 deg days and just last night it finally got cold. Its mid 30's today and the wind is blowing. I am about to freeze and am considring cutting up my office furniture and making a bon-fire. Just call me whimpy.

Reinhold, do you ever get used to weather like that?

Timing has an awful lot to do with the outcome of a rain dance.

You definitely become accustomed to the frigid weather. I can't say that I can distinguish between wind chills of -60 degrees and -100 however. Once it gets that cold, it's just cold, period.

The good news is that the National Weather Service is using a new wind chill chart from now on, and it won't get below -100 anymore. We'll be a lot warmer!
