Unhappy What happened to Reef Central?

After announcing that they'd be down for only one hour for maintenence yesterday evening, Reef Central is still down this morning.

Osama bin Damselfish? Not likely. More like "Java bin vBulletin".

I wish that we used InfoPop and not vBulletin. What bloatware vBulletin is! All that user-friendly hogwash to waste bandwidth, instead of a decent search engine.

They went down for planned maintenance at 6 pm EST yesterday and it appears that they are still down.

The new server that they switched to just a few months ago is having problems keeping up with the 500 members online at once that they are experiencing. I'm sure they will have it all worked out shortly.

Unhappy Still down as of Lunch EST...

Hmmmm, seems as if they have problems. Maybe we can get Dr. Ron to move here ?!?

And what happened to the Nut? I see that he's still listed as a moderator, but Have been unable to reach him by eMail for the last year.

They are still down because John Link is having problems installing the new software that will enable them to have 1000 members online at once.

I believe Aquanut is in school and doesn't have regular access to a computer.

I can only guess what John goes through with the number of members RC has. RC runs great wen you consider the volume of posts and number of active members online at any given time.

BTW, got some U tubes for you and still looking for a decent piece of PVC, Rob.

Wink Down again today!

Yeah, with my day job I'd never be able to handle a board. Not that and keep a reef tank too!

Looks like today the culprit is database problems.
