Arite Govna's, I need some Fish/Refugium Advice, Thank you kindly.

Okay, I have this 50 gallon Tub (36" long x 16" wide x water level is only 7-8"), with about 4" of aragonite, Buncha silly mangroves and a buncha silly rubble rock.

I plan on adding a bunch of silly macros, and throwing my Red sea pulsing xenia chunks from my main tank into this tub. These xenias grow faster than a 16 year watchin Pam Anderson porn on Viagra and Yohimbine HCL caps, so I was thinking of using them as a nutrient export device along with the mangroves and macros.

I want a 1' by 1' "field" of xenia. I can visualize it now.

The lighting for all this will be one 175watt 10k bulb.

Now my question is, I want to maybe add a Mated pair of any fish in here.

What would u guys recommend? Keep in mind this will also be a refugium so I would want a fish that won't totally deccimate the pod population.

Perhaps a pair of bangaii cardinals?
Pair of Clarkii clowns or Gold stripped maroon, possibly with a BTA.
Hmmm Sea Horses? Hmmmmm PIPE FISH?? Hmmmmmm.... I'm getting more and more ideas..Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm.

Thanks

I really cannot help much with the fish advice, except to tell you not to add a pipe fish or seahorse. They WILL eat all of the pods...

However, and this is just my opinion, people would probably reply faster if you cut out the fake gangsta talk. It's kind of hard to take you seriously. JMO.

I really can't tell. Seems to be a mix between old South and Gangsta talk. Needless to say, I have trouble reading the threads and really have trouble believing anyone who has to write in anything other than plain english. Not an attack or anything, but JMO.

TOC,

I cruise EF, and know exactly what you were talking about. still want some yohimburn. Anyway, I would stay away from the horses and pipefish, they are mard to maintain and likely won't last long. Husbandry for them isn't really known for them right now.

A pair of clowns, or perhaps some captive bred dottybacks would be interesting, and if kept happy could likely result in offspring. Stay away from Mandarins, andthings that rely mainly on pods for a food source. Having some algae in the tank will also provide 'pod breeding grounds.

As for the language thing, I understood what TOC was saying, and it wsn't gangster gibberish, but more supplement/pharmacuetical talk. While not exactly the proper content for a reef site, I don't find it to be vulgar or any kind of attack so don't really feel that response was totally nescessitated Mark. Just a case of metaphorical miscommunitcation. In any case, play nice yall.

Oh, and I don't think Mark is a Mod or Admin part of the board, butis an active member. The citizenship changes with more posts.

Hmm...I'm not the smartest person in the world, but for some reason, no matter how many times I read ThaOneCrumcake's post, I can't seem to find any hint of gangster talk.

For some reason, people are just too ready to flame others, maybe it's because they have nothing else going for them in their life, or they simply have nothing better to do. On some other board, I recently read a whole thread of some poor guy getting flamed constantly until he finally retaliated back, which ended up getting him banned. You push a person, he will push back. No need for this kind of stuff so knock it off...these forums are for help and information. If you can't reply with a helpful comment or with constructive criticism, don't post at all.

Let's keep the discussion on topic.

For fish, perhaps a pair of Ocellaris Clowns.

Perry, check your PM.

ReefLand, quick question regarding perc's, I know there are "True" Percs (Amphiprion percula) and "False" Percs (Amphiprion ocellaris)..

...I recently aquire a pair of "True" percs, but aren't the "True" and "False" fish the same exact Species? Can you breed a Percula with an Ocellaris? Aren't these actually the exact same fish, just with different morphs of coloration?

Talking

Maybe he edited out the mad rhymes yo! He musta be timted by yo mad cryings G. wait a second did I say that? anyways I think you should forget the fish. I mean it's going to be a nutrient export and it's going to be a 50 gallon tub, I'm assuming rubbermaid or something of that nature. First you won't be able to see much inside if you have a field of xenia, and second it will probably end up hidden away because it is just a big tub full of xenia. I'd say scrap the fish in the tub idea and maybe get some more fish for your main tank if you be buggin to add mo fish yo. you must be rollin in some mad cash yo or you won't be buggin about mo fish... yeah.

Yeah East Coast from Coast to Coast

Thumbs up

TOC,

The ocellaris, and true percs are difference species, although the diffrences are pretty minor in many cases. The percs tend to have thicker black coloration surrounding the white stripes. They also have more doral 'spines' than thier "false" counterpart (or is it the other way around?). They can also grow to different sizes. They are very similar, but due to these differences areclassified as different species.

They CAN interbreed, and likely will if they pair up.

I agree Scott, lets not stray from the topic.

Crumb cake. Crumb cake.
First what is a gonva? I haven't a clue.

Second the xenia field is a compelling idea. Think of all those tiny white pulsing polyps waving with the current........ Breath taking I tell you.

As for fish. I think the cardinals would be cool or even a pair of ocellaris.

For us older folks though please include a Rosseta stone so we are able to decifer this cryptic code of yours.

WORD TO THE MOTHER, I THINK. JAMMING ON THE ONE
