Unwanted Emails

Hi All,
I have been getting unsolicited emails from some place called "Intelligent Mailbox." I have never signed up to get these emails so I am assuming that I am getting them from something else that I may have signed up for.
Well in these emails you have the option to reply to the message and get yourself removed from the emailings. I have done this NUMEROUS times but still get the emails. This has got to stop. Is there a group that I can write to to complain about not getting removed when requested?

Thanks,
CaptK

LOL I get that crap too! I hate it! I think there is some kind of virus email robot that will enlist you into more emails once you hit the REMOVE link on some of these. If this is happening sometimes an older cobalt server will get this meaning it is an ISP problem. I definately dont think this is the "only" solution to this problem though. I told my ISP about that problem once and they where able to put on some type of mask ban and havent had the problem since then and new cobalt server exchange.

www.spamcop.net

that will get you started...

If you want to make fighting spam a primary focus, there is a email.abuse newsgroup that has several FAQ's and tips.
The members of this community are DRIVEN to eradicate bandwidth abuse.
If you lurk there for a month, you'll start to know the larger violators on a first name basis.

Create a kill file or set up an inbox rule to delete know offenders before you even see it. That's what I do for losers who don't let me opt out of their junk sends.

Spammers are not nice people.
