Car Fix-it Message Board

Hi All,
I was wondering if there is a friendly message board out there, that is similiar to this one, for those of us who want to learn about car mechanics and DIY repairs?

Thanks,
CaptK

CaptK,

There are definitely quite a few car oriented bulletin boards out there. In my experience, they tend to be more specific, often setup to support cars or trucks by a specific manufacturer. (For example BBS' about jeeps, BBS' about hondas, etc.)

It's just a matter of picking the one you like best. I have definitely learned a lot and even saved some cash from the truck BBS I frequent!

I found the BBS by entering 'BBS' and the car type in Google.

HTH,

Thanks Bamm Bamm,
I have a 98 Pontiac Sunfire GT that I wish to tinker with. I consider myself to be mechanically inclined and I am tired of taking my car to a shop when I know I could do the work myself.
Heck the last time I took my car in for an oil change and it took 1 1/2hrs to get this done!!! It was actually on the lift for that long. They said my car needed a special oil filter, which they did not have on hand.
So anyway it is a Pontiac Sunfire and I would love to start doing work on it myself.

Thanks Again,
CaptK
