Car Fix-it Message Board
Hi All,
I was wondering if there is a friendly message board out there, that is similiar to this one, for those of us who want to learn about car mechanics and DIY repairs? Thanks, CaptK |

CaptK,
There are definitely quite a few car oriented bulletin boards out there. In my experience, they tend to be more specific, often setup to support cars or trucks by a specific manufacturer. (For example BBS' about jeeps, BBS' about hondas, etc.) It's just a matter of picking the one you like best. I have definitely learned a lot and even saved some cash from the truck BBS I frequent! I found the BBS by entering 'BBS' and the car type in Google. HTH, Greg D |

Thanks Bamm Bamm,
I have a 98 Pontiac Sunfire GT that I wish to tinker with. I consider myself to be mechanically inclined and I am tired of taking my car to a shop when I know I could do the work myself. Heck the last time I took my car in for an oil change and it took 1 1/2hrs to get this done!!! It was actually on the lift for that long. They said my car needed a special oil filter, which they did not have on hand. So anyway it is a Pontiac Sunfire and I would love to start doing work on it myself. Thanks Again, CaptK |
