JOHN ENTWISTLE, Bassist for The Who, dead at 57.

I am truly saddened by his loss.

The Who was one of the first bands I ever listened to. I mean I put 45rpm records of "squeeze box" with the b side of "success story" from the album "by numbers" when I was 4 years old.

I got to see them once in 1997, Entwistle's Bass solo had the crowd speechless until his fingers left the fret board, then the crowd erupted into cheers like I've never heard before. THat solo was the best I've ever heard before or since. I will forever cherish the memory.

sorry for you brother. My wife told me you called but the move and school have had my ass in a sling here recently. I'll hollar at you later though.

I still think the Who performance at the Concert for NYC after September 11th was one of the most electrifying I've ever seen. They rocked the entire hall, and overshadowed every other performer.
