Companionate seems out of place here. I think he means compassionate.

"Compassionate conservatism" is Dubya's slogan. I hope that guy's not an English professor at Cal? Probably just your typical political science prof. Thankgawd they keep you confined to your lab!

That site is sick! Why attack the middle? Lantos and Feinstein are not exactly in the same league as Ashcroft and Cheney. And not nearly as funny. I mean if the guy's supposed to be a comedian--in his own mind anyway--Ashcroft and Cheney could keep him going for years.
