    Unhappy Blue Ring Octopus

    Any comments on having a Blue Ring Octopus In Your Reeftank? Would It Eat My Fish? Would It Harm My Corals? Now She's In My Sump and I haven't Added Her Yet To My Community Tank. Im Afraid That Ill Make A Big Mistake....

    I think that you are taking a big risk in trying to keep a blue ring octopus at all, anywhere. Of course, I am not 100% sure that you are really serious about this but since it's not April 1st., I will give you the benefit of the doubt.

    I believe we had another member from the Philippines who attempted to keep a blue ring octopus (twice) and we discussed his situation in this thread: anemone ate bluering octopus!

    Good luck with your blue ring and would you mind terribly if we all pooled our funds to take out a life insurance policy on you with the members of Reefland as joint beneficiaries?

    WHAT THE HECK!!!! "Put@#$% INA MUNTIK NA AKO MAMATAY!" geez!!!!!!!!!! im going to that local fish store 1st thing in the morning!!! thanks for telling me!!! I was really horrified with the situation when i saw the things about how deadly its poison was!!! most of all the "it can kill ten people with its toxin" dang!!! i better put it in a plastic bag! and throw it at the face of that man who sold me that octopus! thanks for the help!!! by the way.. r u by any chance filipino also? what's with the name? stands for uncle here in the philippines...

    No, I'm not Pinoy, but I am a Ninong. My two godsons are Chinoy.
    By the way, ninong means godfather, not uncle. Uncle is tiyo.

    And I know enough Tagalog to know what you were saying but you shouldn't use the P word, even when you don't spell it out, same with the F word in English.

    You should be very cautious in handling that thing.

    Yeah thanks a lot ninong! you saved my life! its good that i put it in the quarantine chamber first! its hard to remove everything when its hidden int he rocks or something! fast swimmer too! thanks a lot i owe you one!
