Clownfish eggs
Hi, here is a picture of one of our Amphiprion clownfish tending to his eggs. The eggs in question are 3 days old (from a very small clutch) and what the fish is doing is cleaning them by putting them in his mouth and licking them... or something like that (I dunno exactly, couldn't get him to turn around for the picture)
. There is a link below to a couple of hi-res shots of this that could make a good background.http://www.clownfish.org/images/02/C...y_Old_Eggs.htm If anyone likes these and want to see more I have the whole egg morphing process documented from day 1 till the night of the hatch. Just let me know. No cracks about my incomplete website please. ClownBoy .... |

Sorry , I didn’t reply sooner....
It usually on the 7th or 8th night after spawning the larve hatch out. I have seen it take as long as 9 days. Interestingly enough the ones that took 9 days ALL died. ;( |
