Best Buy=bad buy

Don't buy anything from Best Buy!!! I returned a PDA for service and they now say they have no record of the return and told me I am out of luck!!!! I don't like dumping $$$ down the drain!!!!

The highest level of "management" that I was able to reach was an area supervisor or something like that. I doubt the store manager even knows about the situation, but if he or she has trained the underlings, it would be like talking to a wall.

Maybe when the police arrive to look at the surveilance tapes showing us entering the store with the box and leaving without the box, the manager may be a little more helpful. I've pretty much resolved to let MasterCard deal with them, now. I'm sure they'll fair better than I...

Well, we finally got the issue settled. I went in with the serial numer of the PDA, they were willing to check to see if it matched any of theirs, and low and behold, it matched an open box one... They were then going to exchange it, but they couldn't because they didn't have any others other than the display model, even though the computer said they had six...So they called another store and aked them to hold one for me. We ended up exchanging it for another model instead, but are glad determination paid off...

Glad to hear you got the problem resolved. What a bunch of jerks though. Hope they take a look at where they went wrong and try to correct the problem so it doesn't happen again.

Did they not give you a claim ticket when you gave them your PDA? Usually they (stores in general) give you a carbon copy of the paper work they or you fill out when dropping something off for repair. Usually consisting of name, address, description of probmlems etc.

Glad things worked out in your favor though.

Good thing you had the serial #. It sounds like that particular store is a real mess. Glad you got your situation straightened out.
