Pay off North Korea/Kill people in Iraq

Ok, North Korea has weapons of mass destruction period. They also talked about themselves causing WWIII, causing a holy war against the U.S., and other items that made the papers. Iraq may have weapons of mass destruction or not, prove it. North Korea has basically told us to mind our own business. Now we are going to give North Korea money so they will stop building nuclear weapons. Who believes that if we give them money that won't happen anyway in the future. Is it because of Iraq's oil? What is the reasoning behind our actions? And I constantly wonder if the President has a brain!

Fishrule,

Is it because of Iraq's oil?

Of course it is.

Here is my theory.

1 Iraq has the second largest oil reserve in the world.

2 Our government is worried about an overthrow of the Saudi Royal Family.

3 The government that would replace it would in all likelihood be “Islamic Fundamentalist” and very well might stop shipping oil to us and/or our allies.

4 End game… Our government feels that we need to have direct control/possession of Iraq’s oil.

Regards,

Scott

I agree. I always thought that the "weapons of mass destruction" thing was just a smokescreen.

These fundamentalists wouldn't by any chance happen to share the last name of bin Laden, would they?

One rather remarkable fact, reported in the Wall Street Journal, is that Bush Sr is a paid consultant of the Saudi bin Laden family.

Seems a bit unseemly:

Bush on North Korea: We Must Invade Iraq"

WASHINGTON, DC—With concern over North Korea's nuclear capabilities growing, President Bush reassured the American people Monday that "extreme force" will be used to remove Saddam Hussein from power if the Iraqi president fails to give up suspected weapons of mass destruction.
