hey all, i have a question that i really need an answer to...

yesterday, i was hanging out with my friends and i was doing dumb stuff like jumping into bushes, i never did anything bad at all. They video taped me jumping into the bushes. but also on the tape is one of my friends doing something very very very bad, apparently he found it funny to throw a bowling ball through a car windshield. Both events are on the same tape, now, another one of my friends, the one with the camera got arrested because he went in someones yard last night.

and of course the cops viewed the tape, so both of my friends are screwed, and i dont care about them... but am I going to be in trouble also? Im really scared, i dont know what to do, and this is the only place i could go for an answer.

I'll pass on the comments that are rolling around my head and just cut straight to the answer.

If the owner of the bushes wishes to press charges for trespassing or for any bushes you may have destroyed, you may have a small problem (misdemeanor--unless you are a habitual offender).

If, through the investigation, the police think that you had something to do with the bowling ball incident or even if you knew about it, you may want to make sure your folks can retain a good lawyer for you. Your 'friends' may even rat you out in exchange for a plea bargain. Something that you had nothing to with could end up being all your fault. Isn't life funny that way? And even if you beat the rap, your NCAA scholarship may be at risk.

no.. the car was parked.. i dont know what made then do it... there was no damage to the bushes, i just rolled off them and hurt myself instead.. i trust my friends, and they have all made an agreement to vouch that i had nothing to do with anything bad... only one of them knows my last name, and he wouldnt say it. i am in the video when it happened, i was telling them not to do it, that its gonna hit a car dont do it... i dont know what to do.... i dont think my parents have money for a good lawyer....

I really can't offer any advice , but for some reason while reading this I thought this to be a bad episode of MTV's "Jackass" tv show... no pun intended. Hope you get that cleared up soon man , and hopefully you won't get into much trouble.

fishkid is about 15-16, the same age most of us were when we did stupid Sh#t too.

Just tell the police it was in retaliation for the owner selling bad crack to you and your friends. This is an immensely helpful strategy.

You should also tell the police that you believe the owner of the vehicle was contemplating acts of terrorism and was seen recently at the mall distributing copies of the Koran.

That will get you off the hook.

You might have a problem, in that the get-away car driver usually gets busted along with the bank robbers, the tag-along usually gets charged when murders occur, and you'll probably be considered an accomplice if charges are brought.

However, that being said, my guess is that at the worst, you'll get probation. It might cause a problem with your allication to the Delta Force.

More importantly though....what the hell were you doing with a bowling ball frolicking in the bushes with other guys!!!

It must be some new kind of sport. I remember when we used to throw ketchup, mustard, rotten food, all kind of things off of bridges. I once went through a car window but that was not by choice.

I think as long as your honest about it and respect whatever decisions are made you will get off easy, it's not like you've done anything like this before right? RIGHT?!

if anything they will bring me in, to testify against my friends... which, if that happens, my responses will probably be along the lines of, to the best of my knowledge, i cannot answer that question... unless they try to pinch me too, its looking like only the bowling ball genius will be in trouble.

If you can be heard saying this on the tape just before they tossed the ball I would think you would most likely be in the clear. Or atleast I think it would help you out from taking much of the heat.
