A Marine's Dad#2

I don't know how you feel about the impending war with Iraq (notice I didn't say inevitable); but no matter how you feel, the fact remains that we already have 10's of thousands of our boys and girls in uniform, sitting already in desert soil, in harm's way.

My son, who I am not going to name, is already there, as a Marine Corps scout/sniper involved with covert ops. He has been there about 6 weeks now, unable to contact either my ex-wife or me. I know, in general what he is doing, and where, but can't say in this public forum. He is an awesome kid. And if you pray, I selfishly ask that you pray for him and those with him, that they would remain safe.

I am posting a picture that my wife (now) took, while we were all visiting at Christmas. If you have loved ones in harm's way, please post their pics, and I will pray for them:

Good luck to your son my prayers are with you. I know the feeling well I have 2 sons serving one's an Airmen and one's national guard. The one in the guard has been called up and in route. God bless them all!

Thanks to all of you for your kind thoughts and prayers. I just thought I'd tell you that we heard from my son last week and we know that he is fine. He is doing his job, and I don't need to tell you what that means. Please continue to pray for him and those that are with him. I will continue to pray for your loved ones as well, John and DEE.
