![]() If Rev. Ashcroft is unavailable, you might try Adm. John "Five Felonies" Poindexter, Director of TIA (Total Information Awareness). Such a nice name, like Homeland Security it has such an Orwellian ring to it, doncha think? Looks like a lot of books will go unread, or at least not checked out, at a lot of libraries, especially in places like Santa Cruz where there has always been a keen interest in "house plants" and how to grow them in your basement under artificial lights. ![]()

I'm still waiting for the police raid based on the "probable cause" of my $160 electric bill. Being one of the few within city limits to rack up this kind of electrical usage for legal purposes, this seems like a fair gambit. If I do get raided, I'll donate part of the procedes to the Santa Cruz public library, which hasn't purchased a new book since 1975.
