Re: Welcome to the Aquaripure Forum

as kind of an early Christmas gift, my wife got me a new 75g reef ready tank. i have outfitted it with a 20g sump. i have installed one of your systems. i have never used one before, but i like to give my animals everything i can to keep them healthy and happy. i will post updates as time passes here, but for now there isnt much going on to report. i want to thank you for answering the questions i sent in. i am very pleased with your customer service. the only issue i have found so far is the flow control valve isnt very sensitive. it isnt exact and tuning it in to the flow rate you desire can be tricky. it either wants to flow or not, and i found it hard to dial it into the flow i needed. in future designs you may want to see if there is another type of valve that may be a little easier to adjust.

Re: Welcome to the Aquaripure Forum

Hello, thank you for trusting Aquaripure.

I would encourage you to start a new thread to post your results.

In response to the flow control valve, I do realize that the 90 degree ball valves are not 100% ideal. I would prefer a 180 degree ball valve but they just are not readily available. I used to use a very expensive and custom made needle valve and this allowed for a very good degree of control. Unfortunately the aperture was quite narrow and it was prone to blockage. Overall, I have fewer negative responses with the 90 degree ball valve. Really, I find that once you get used to setting the flow with the 90 degree ball valve it's not very difficult.
