It's a state funded card for low income families.

Re: Introduce yourself...

Hi:

I'm John and am 45. I just moved to Arlington Hts near the track, from the West Loop, I do not have a tank set up yet. I did not trust the floors in my old loft.

I have not had a tank in 7 or 8 years and came here to learn about setting up a tank correctly and all of you guys follow me here.

Really though everyone should take the time to read Leebeca's and Ninong's stickies and posts to learn about proper care and maintaince of your tanks. I have learned alot from the stickies and from Leebeca's and Ninong's answers to peoples questions and hopefully I will not make the same mistakes when I set up my new tank.

Re: Introduce yourself...

Was at Advanced Aquatics last weekend and just convinced my wife a 48" 120 is smaller than a 72" 125. She said it is a go, but unfortunely need to furnish the house first.

Could not get the boxsprings up the stairs and my wife does not like sleeping on a mattress on the floor, or watching TV while laying on an air mattress on the floor. So wife said we need to get a new bed set and a sectional for the family room before I can start to set up a tank I also have to upgrade the electrical from the current 60 amp service.

The new bed and sectional should be here next week than I can start planning the tank. I appriciate the offer and usually have beer around so I will let you know when I star planning the tank. I am thinking of putting the sump and fuge under the basement stairs in the laundry room. Out of the way with easy access and near the laundry tub and water lines.

Sounds like a plan. There's a guy on RC jski711, he lives in Arlington Heights and is an electrican. He's done some side jobs for reefers... Let me know when you need some help...

Yes, DLC is a licensed shop in the basement of Mike & Elizabeth's home. If you've never been there before, it's worth the trip. They have some great stuff!

When I was there, they had a few clown fish and snails, but most of their tanks were just really sweet-looking corals.
