Anyone out there near the joliet area? I just got my tank going again so I'll be looking for someone that has frag's locally before I go throw 40 bucks at a pet shop. Let me know if anyone's out there.

for what its worth anyone that lives out by plainfield, IL I just stumbled upon a place called "Upscale Aquatics" and I'll be back there. They had reasonable prices, CLEAN TANKS (which is a breath of fresh air given some of the LFS's I've seen in this area) and a pretty decent selection. As far as lfs's go this was one of the better ones I've been to that didn't charge you an extra 30% for everything.

I live in Aurora, but know a lot of reefers in Joliet. A couple times of year there are frag fests (one's coming up in West Chicago and a big one in Rockford this fall).

I recently stumbled on one in Orland park , Go fish aquariums ? rlly nice store great owner of the reef side knows alot . It also shares the building with a bird and reptile side just in case u have any other critters lol

There is this lfs in algonquin in case you guys are ever in the area. Its called Exotic Aquatics. The owner knows his stuff and he has this sale going on for the summer where all the 29.99 frags are just 9.99 and he has 25% off all livestock. We bought 5 frags, black n white percula clownfish and our orange percula.
