What light bulbs would you recomend as far as t-5's go. I have an 8x54 that has 3 actinics and 5 10k's but I would like to get the most out of this light so is there a better mix and match of these bulbs that I could use to boost my lighting capabilities. I have 2 switches and can turn on 2 or 5 bulbs at a time. Any info would be appreciated. I checked out those bulbs on your site and they look really good but I cant figure out what bulbs I should get. eventually sps will inhabit this tank.

Also what is the difference between the actinic plus and the pure actinic. I was looking at getting 5 of the 11k and 3 of the pure actinic but should I get a mix of 6k and 11k with a mix of actinic plus and pure actinic?

    Hi Todd
    Sorry for the delay.
The Actinic plus is a mix of 40% actinic and 60% blue
The pure actinic is all actinic
I'm just getting into T5 myself, but so far a mix of the Aquablue and Actinic plus seems to be the favorite for my customers.
    Giesemann has some recommendations also:
Aquablue is ideally suited to be used as a standalone, or when used in a 2:1 or 3:1 fashion with blue or actinic supplementary lamps.

Actinic plus-450nm peak is similar to Radium Blue metal halide lamps. preferred ratios include 1:1 with Sun Lamps, or 2:1:1 Sun/Blue/Actinic for best blend of bluing and fluorescence.
