Well I did order a mini excavator and it will be here before 10am. and I will start laying the geo-therm plumbing. BTW PVC has gone up since last time.

Last year
4" Thinwall PVC $.39 per linnear ft.

This year
4" Thinwall PVC $.59 per linnear ft.

I Have 700' linnear ft that im gonna seperate into 4 different systems.
I also have a 1/2hp chiller that I think I will be setting up on 300g rubbermaid
charging the batts for the cam now so I can take some pics tommorow

Some pics

the reducers to get to 1.5" plumbing of the pumps and El's

I Knew I shouldnt have given Kenny any beer! seriously though he had nothing to drink! But he played around with it for about 20 minutes and worked his way right out of that hole

Hope to have all the pipe buried by tommorow morn. I have three different u/ground loops 2 - 200' and 1 - 300' The 300' loop will have a heat exchanger wich I will be able to hook up multiple systems to this one heat/cooling device wich will have a 3 ton heat pump and coils the big loop will be able to control heat and cooling with a great range and effeciency but not as effecient as the u/ground loops alone.

Thanx guys

Just wanted to put a note on the attic fans that Im using from Home Depot. they are 24" and made by flow master, however the fan motors are made by L.L. Building products and their toll free number is 1-800-211-9612 I had 2 of my motors go out on me and was just gonna order the motor replacements (50bux instead of 119) to my surprise they warranted them and I dont have to pay for them They just said send them the stickers on the motors and they would replace them.

hey !

I must say you are a diehard.
I did a small greenhouse experiment & must say it is a live & learn experiance...my job robbed me of most of my time & energy & I never imagined the amount of effort needed to bag, ship, etc & maintain the business.
I do have another project planned & hope to have it up and running by the first of next year.
My company name is Tropical Marine Imports & I will mostly sell wild stock but sill want to utilize the greenhouse for lighting 300 gal rubbermaid stock vats.
I will collect frags for growout stock as well to supplement.

Do you use 2 100 foot lengths on your 200 foot radiators or 4 50'?
Have you ever cut of the rad. to see what the temp rise was?
Since you dont use a reverse lighting setup to help stabilize the ph what does your ph go to at night ?

Hey coralfarm'n

Thanx
On my new setup I used 2-100' lengths instead of the 4-50' lengths mainly because its easier to plumb and I have the room this time around. I havent cut the rad. to see the temp. but I can only speculate that it is a fairly constant temperature all year round w/ very little fluctuation, the majority of the fluctuation is caused by the heating/cooling from the outside exposure. I have not had any major issues with PH stability that where directly related to the lighting that I know of.....The only times I have had PH problems was when I started using Hydrated Lime slurries to supplement my Ca & Alk, this should always be done cautiously and very slowly because it can spike your PH drastically.

Wasssup Poseidon
Heres the update:

I have fixed my 200g that was cracked during the move and set it up and plumbed it to one of the geotherms and just got a boatload of salt and will have my other 200g plumbed soon.....LR ordering should be soon hopefully....gonna probably cure the LR in a large vat for a month or so before I put it in the tanks. I have also started wiring my electricity to the greenhouse. Ill try and get some pics up soon.....July 4th is the last day on one of my 2 jobs so hopefully I will have some free time then....but I also will be diving alot too...hopefully

Update

I have 2 tanks setup in the GH now one is just circulating sw in it and is NOT connected to a geotherm and water temp is 89.6 Fahrenheit the other tank is same size and is hooked up to a Geotherm that is equal to volume of tank and is approx 5' underground. The Geo therm tank water temp is 84.6 so Im getting a dropdown of 5 degrees right now. I would like to add that this is without the fans on and running which I will have atleast 2 of them up and running soon and a third if its needed. Air temp in the greenhouse @ both times of measurement of water temps was 106 Fahrenheit.

Hey Rocky,

I'm worried about you man! I know the hurricane must have gone right over you. Let me know if there is anything I can help you with. I have a generator you can borrow if you need it.

Which all of us will be a big part of. Right Rick. I have put the word out around here that I need a GH. So I hope to hear back by next week that I found one. I am optimistic on this.
