pic #1- this is how i glued the frames together with, "liquid nails"
pic #2- this is where i did all the cutting/work
pic #3- this is how i kept the legs in place when i glued them
*tommarow i will put the screws in the frame, and glue the bottom frame on. then when thats done drying i will go out and get some nice side panels, glue those on, and also i will pick up some hinges and some more finished wood for the doors, and when everything is in its place, dry, and screwed in, i will stain the whole thing.
cool reefer. looks good

i finally glued the bottom half of my stand on, when the "liquid Nails" dries will drive some screws in and then the main stand will be done. but theres more... i will still need to go out and either by plywood or nice side panels for the sides of the tank, and i will probably use plywood for the door. as for the hinges and door knob, i have those alreadybut not the siding...
kind of off subject here, but i also picked up all the plumbing PVC/glue/elbows ect... i will need to plumb my sump. but i still havent picked up that sealant to start glueing in the the sump, so now the only 2 things i need to finish my sump is the overflow and the mag 5, ill post some pics of my finished stand once i get a chance. cya
hey i just finished glueing/screwing the stand together, here are some pics:
-the only thing i need to do now is go out and buy some side panels, glue/nail them down, put the door on, and stain the whole thing.
Sure looks a LOT like the old one. What did you change in the second one? Was it just the first one was not level/square?
haha yea the 2 stands are almost identical, except for the for how they were put together and there are some minor changes in the 2nd one. i did not glue the first one at all, and it is very uneven and looks horrible, probably becuase i put it together in 1hour, but the 2nd one took me this whole week to finish, and on the 2nd one the legs are positioned in a diff way, and it has a shelf at the bottom to hold my sump, and it will also have side panels and doors, and it will be stained a nice wood color.
Here's my first diy wet and dry trickle filter , what i did was build it into the tank as this was easier than drilling holes into the glass, the tank is a 3x2x1 , do you think that i made the trickle filter a bit too big..

here's a pic of my diy wet and dry trickle filter that i built into a 3x2x2 aga about 2 years ago, due to other things coming up i never got around to setting up this tank, i will prob do that after i have set up an 80 litre nano tank.
on the 3x2x1 what i did was replace the glass tank cover with a perspec's one as this was a lot safer and you can cut holes for equipment or pipes..
