2-part epoxies are a adhesive, that require each part to become active. I read a question that says "what kind of epoxy do i use for the inside of a Canopy" and I wonder what one would be doing that required glue on the inside of a canopy. My response is that the question "What are you trying to accomplish" was most appropriate then, and even more so now. You now state that you are trying to paint the inside of your hood and I ask again, yet a little more specific, "What are you trying to accomplish painting the inside of your canopy with an adhesive?" Let's go another step. How in the world are you planning to paint the inside of your canopy with adhesive? I would imagine that you thought it was going to take several tubes of adhesive to paint the inside of your canopy, considering the amount of "paint" that is held in those tubes. To answer your question regarding painting the inside of your canopy, most people use white enamel paint which helps with reflectivity. After a couple of coats of the white paint, several coats of protective polyurethane is used to prevent the moisture from ruining the paint and the wood itself. I think you'll have a hard time finding either white enamel paint or polyurethane in the adhesive section of your hardware store. |
