Weld-On 16, but it will not melt them together, only glue them.

AFAIK, you can just use regular model cement to melt the pieces together... I hope someone else will chime in tho, cuz I'm not 100% sure that it would be safe, although I'm guessing it should be?

Also, there is a guy on ebay, I can't recall his user name right now, but he sells refugium "kits" and he has an acrylic glue that comes with his kits, it is liquid, and comes with a needle applicator... He doesn't list the glue on ebay, but I'm sure he would sell you some if you emailed him.

Check out a Hobby Store. There is a glue there used in MOdel train applications that "melts" the acrylic. What are you trying to accomplish/build?

that design is way to confusing, i get a headache just looking at it. the cpr design is more simple, and looks more efficient to me . ive seen that thread a couple times, and im tryin to stay away from it, becuase i know if i attempt that design i will fail really bad.

I'm just wondering what exactly you are looking at to determine the efficiency?

not sure... , it just seems easier to make, and the actual cpr bak pak works great, so i just measured all the acrylic to be half its size, L,W,H.

and the cpr bak pak looks CLEANER in design.

Well.. I'm no engineer, but it's been my experience that reducing everything by half will not necessarily work the way you think it will... but I wish you good luck all the same!

Well, I just meant what I said.... that reducing the size by half will not create a skimmer that is exactly half the strength... The sizes of the fittings etc. all have alot to do with how the thing operates, and 1/2 of the original just doesn't (I don't know why, just usually doesn't) add up to 1/2 of the performance.
As I said, I am no expert, it's just been my experience with pretty much everything that 1/2 doesn't usually equal 1/2 when talking about reducing or increasing a working 'recipe' ... There are almost always other small changes/adjustments to be made to get the same results.

Well, I have one of his kits, I didn't buy it off ebay, but from a local fella who had bought it and decided not to use it when he saw what was included. Quite frankly, the darn thing is NOT worth what he charges... I think the designs I have seen all over the web (after that purchase of course) are quite a bit more efficient, and probably in the long run cheaper cuz what you get from his kit is .. well, not much, lol. I will definitely be re-making my fuge when I get some disposable cash (which may be awhile, cuz I'm going to a frag swap next week, and I'm sure I will be dead broke for awhile after that)..... For a basic no cutting needed fuge, I guess his design works, but it's so short, it's not even utilizing the whole height of the tank... which seems wasteful to me. And the bulkheads... well, what do ya need those for?? Just my .02˘.

lol, just don't do anything for now, and later use the twenty you have for the fuge

For a 20, you should probably just get one of those little hang-on fuges.. better than nothing.
