diy protein skimmer

hey everyone

im thinking of making a mini protein skimmer for my nano. i was just wondering if i could just use a regular air stone and put it into the end of the pvc that will be in the simmer to make bubbles, or is there something special i need to use?

Wooden Airstone...

A regular Airstone will not producce small enough air bubbles required for a skimmer.
