Acrylic DIY how to book
hey guys.
My name is Jeff Fenn and I have been working in the acrylic industry for about 15 years. I have made several sumps, skimmers, calcium reactors, and many other things. I was thinking about putting together a how to manual. Every hidden secret to working with acrylic. The book would also contain blue prints. would any one be interested if in the book? The cost would be about 10 bucks. thanks alot jeff fenn jeffrey.fenn@email.cleveland.edu |

Hi Jeff,
I would probably buy it if I had a chance to skim through it real quick. 10 bucks is very reasonable and it never hurts to have good reference material. I might be less apt to purchase it online because I havent had the chance to see it...I know its kind of contradicting but browsing a good book definately gives me insight before I buy it. Maybe you could have a website with some small excerpts from the book? Trying to think of some selling points here for ya. I believe once you put out one good book and then you put out another your 2nd book will sell itself by proving your credibility so overhead is probably very high on first book but lower on 2nd book....maybe put out one book on simple DIY then put out another book on advanced DIY? If you have enough time to elaborate this then I think it would be much more beneficial, not only to your potential customer base but to you as well. You might want to talk to Anthony Calfo about publication too, he would be a great help like always. |

dude, I think you should have pretty much the whole book online for free and have it set up so people can donate to you, if they really like the book they ought to donate to you. I know some people straight up wont even think about paying or donating but some people will, I think expecially in this hobby. I know I'd donate what I could, and you never know, some people might donate more than 10 bucks, I dunno, maybe I'm just being a little too optimistic about human nature. You never know...

Hi Jeff,
I think Scuba dude has a great idea. I am definitely more apt to buy something if I have looked at it first. Let us know when the site is up. Brandon
