Hey Marc

I like it! Love how you made your box clear too. Is this a beckett skimmer? Can you give us some detail on the beckett housing or injector housing. How you made it etc

Hey Guys,

Beckett didn't do this one.I made the injector w/pvc fittings.I've seen this on several skimmers and kinda copied. The inj tube is 3 inch od the fittings are 2 inch pvc coupler and 2 reducers/bushings to 1 inch. The top fitting accepts the 1 inch input and the lower is drilled for the injector.I am starting with a 800 gph pump and will probably go to 1200 gph,all comparisons w/skimmers it will handle about a 350 gal setup modestly.A little over kill for my 90 but what the hey.

I've got about $130.00 in this skimmer and about 10 hours including water tests.

No schematics anywhere, this would be more of a HSA skimmer. The injector is friction fit in the 3" tube, made from a 2 inch pvc coupler--2 reducer bushings 2" to 1"
the upper is for the input 1" the lower is a 1" FPT end plug, drilled w/4 holes
kinda like a 4 leaf clover. The inj forces a large flow of water thru a small opening creating aereation, like a jet stream of water and creates even more bubbles as it hits the water in the skimmer box.If I can draw up some pics and load them to my computer I'll send them.

DIY Skimmer

Actually, this is sort of a hybrid of the design that is listed here,
which is in all actuality a copy of AquaC's EV series skimmers.
