TOTW 2-7-05 two-part Ca & Alk additive
Randy Holmes Farley
Ahhhh yes he has been so kind to our wallets by showing us a very effecient way to make homemade 2part Ca and Alk additive. heres the link http://www.advancedaquarist.com/issu...l2004/chem.htm I would like to add that I recommend for more stable parameters dosing Limewater first to see if you can maintain your Ca & Alk levels before doing just 2part. If you find that limewater topoff alone cannot meet your demands then the 2 part (as well as limewater) would be the way to go. And this thread would not be complete w/out MGK's online balance calculator http://www.kademani.com/reefchem.htm I would like to hear of everyones results from using this recipe and any pro's/con's to it.
