metal halide sockets

I am trying to set up 175 wt mh. I have noticed that the sockets come in 4kv, 5kv, 6kv and so forth. How do I know what kv I need?

I dont know the answer but am curious as to where you are purchasing these that it ask you this? Usually you can buy your mogul base socket from same place you buy your bulbs for as cheap or close to it so to say they match as far as their kv goes?

You have me stumped too... I only know of mogul, and medium single ended bulbs, and then the DE stands for "Double Ended". I just bought new bulbs from Premium Aquatics, XM 10K's and so far I really like them! I am going to wait a few more days for them to "burn in" then I will post more pictures...
