Question skimmer and sump set up

Hey Salty folks,

Built a new sump and added my skimmer.I'll get some pics as soon as I can.
Question I've got a DIY skimmer ,built myself It will run fine for about 3 to 5 hrs, then the injector tube fills up w/water. I have a 1/4 in air line into the injector and it's splits into 2 barbed fittings. If I blow air into the tube it will work great for another 3 to 5 hrs.The skimmer is making foam really well but it cycles--w/the filling of the injector tube.Any ideas?? I've been working on it but if someone has any suggestions or answers I'd love the help!

Hey Scott,

Taller mixing box and 3/8 inch hole drilled in the injector tube just below the injector!!Gets plenty of air now,and the water column stays at the level I set in the skimmer mixing box.Working great!

Do you get a lot of noise from the hole for the air intake?

Hey Scott,

Sorry it was a 1/4 hole and no noise at all--quiet as a starfish.
