Building Your Own Skimmer??

Is it possible to build your own skimmer? I was looking at my old piece of junk and it really doesn't look like much. Given a little information, I can't see why I couldn't build a better one myself. Now that would be a fun project. If it's possible, I would really appreciate any information or links on it. Thanks.

Quite a few of them posted here actually. Here is a pretty recent one:
My DIY Skimmer...
And another:
skimmer and sump set up

Do a search for DIY Skimmer, or Protein Skimmer just in the DIY forum. I'm no DIY guy but I know there are quite a few posted here.

Sorry, I keep forgetting that your search function actually works here. The other forum I haunt for another hobby has had a broken search function for as long as I can remember. Thanks for the links.

We try to keep things functional around here, although sometimes fixing things seems to break things (typical huh? ). Not trying to suggest that search is the answer for everything (what's a discussion forum without discussions?) but it's the best answer I have for you on this one.

We need a good way to categorize and store all of these awesome links on Reefland.
