new sump design will it work???

hey i am think of doing this http://jjgeisler.com/reeftank/55g_sump-refugium2.htm with some modifications. i have a crude drawing of it with the modifications in the attachment. planning on using a 1200gph sedra pump for the return. skimmer is a asm g-3. main tank has a 150lbs of live rock and only 1" sand bed.(rocks are set so adding sand in the display and dont want to go BB) wondering if i should go with the plenum or just dsb in the refugium? so what do you think? any problems you can see?

I would put the skimmer in its own chamber and i would have the baffle from the drain 2" from the top of the tank to keep Dietetic from flowing through the fudge with a dsb hope i did not confuse you

the skimmer is in its own chamber. just feeding the chamber from the overflow of the main tank, want that "raw" tank water going to skimmer first. the pump has to go in with the skimmer just the way the asm g-3 is set up.

not sure what you mean about the "i would have the baffle from the drain 2" from the top of the tank" are you talking about the attachment with the modifications or the links design?

I think it's a good idea to have your tank water go through the skimmer before the refugium.

Hmmm... now that the tank is full, I could convert the pool to saltwater...
