Anyone?
Anyone have a good (inexpense) source for lunar lighting?
Anyone?
I just got some Current Lunarlights for my new tank. I compared the Current and Coralife models. They both come in blue and white.
Why I chose the Current: I thought the lighting on the Coralife moon lights was too bright. To add additional lunar lights to the Current system, you can plug a new one into the last one, making a chain. Every additional Coralife light needs a new plug/transformer.
The light with the transformer and plug was $19.99 at the LFS. Additional lights to plug into the chain were $13.99. I haven't checked online, but usually the online prices are a bit better than the LFS. Since I paid over $400 per light for my MH's, I thought this was a real deal!

Hmmm... now that the tank is full, I could convert the pool to saltwater...

I used the 3 light wide angle and 8 light narrow beam Dome fixtures. I have (4) 3 light and (4) 8 light domes on my 6' Tank, and the tank is very bright with just those. It was actually fine with just the (4) 3 Light domes. The (3) light Domes are under $5.00 each. Any 12 volt DC Power Supply will run them.
When I was in high school, I got in trouble with my girlfriend's Dad. He said, " I want my daughter back by 8:15." I said, "The middle of August? Cool!"
