It is going to require a float switch and either a large resevior or your RO/DI unit hooked directly to it. Are these possible for you?

i use a 25 gallon container hooked up to a float switch in my sump....my ro unit goes to this top container w/ another float switch...it uses gravity to feed sump on the other side....you can modify to fit your own needs..good luck

I found this page, which also has a DIY tab... they have kits and give lots of explanations. http://www.aquahub.com/store/autotopoffcomp.html

Hmmm... now that the tank is full, I could convert the pool to saltwater...

This is the auto top off I use...
This is a pretty simple and easy DIY auto top off that can be modified to fit many situations.
I have my RO/DI system in the basement. Instead of buying a couple of hundred dollar pump to fill the sumps I am running it directly off the RO unit.
I put a tee on the good water discharge from my RO/DI. One end I ran to my storage bucket. The other goes up through the floor to the back of the tank stand.
The tubing runs through a ball valve, the solenoid valve, from McMaster Carr p/n 7877K53, and to a float valve in the sump. The solenoid is powered by a digital timer. Then both the timer and float are are on water will fill the sump.
I have it set up so that twice a day for 30 minutes the solenoid is energized. For me that is plenty to keep the sump filled. And if something were to fail, it would only operate for 1 hour a day (4 gallons of top off max) which my sump can easily handle the extra volume.
Cost
Float - $15
Solenoid - $18
Timer - $10
Tubing and misc fittings $10
