tank design help
Hi all,
First of all let me introduce myself. I was in the hobby 10 years a go and very successfull with two 75 gal marine tanks. life circumstances made me give it up and now i want to get back in it. way back than i was planing on building a custom tank but didn't get far with it. Ok here is my question: I have 1/2" glass panels for the front, back and sides but i am missing a bottom. the dimensions of the finish tank should be 83" wide x 27" deep x 27" high. Don't know what that would transfer in gallons. I was thinking of making the bottom out of plywood laminated with 1/4" glass. I planned on gluing the glass to the plywood using a thin film of silicone. I would like to drill trough the bottom for both inlet and outlet. Reason for this is for the possibility of using the tank as a room divider. What do you guys think of my idea for building the bottom? |
