sump design with ASM G-3 skimmer water level??
ok i building the a sump. you can see it in the attachment. what i am not sure about is the sump water level. i want to put the ASM G-3 skimmer in the sump with a 12" water level. i have used this skimmer for a while but always in about 9" of sump water. anyone ever try it in a sump with a water level of 12" or deeper? if so, did it effect it at all???

Can you sent the skimmer up on somthing that is 3 inches. That way the skimmer is still in the same depth as always. I don't know how tall your stand is, or if you would have the room to do this, As long as you have a 1/2 inch to lift the cup up and off that should work, That is what I am planning to do with mine.

wow thanks for the reply, but this is kinda old. was not able to raise the skimmer. stand not tall enough. but it works great in 12" of water. i played with it and found it worked in 15" of water with no prob. too. its been going in 12" of water for a month and works just as good at 12" as it did at 15" just an F.Y.I. for your sump.
