make lighting from garage floursent lighting canopy?

I decide to make a lighting canopy from the garage lighting canopy for my 37 gallons tank, I learning something that glass canopy cause the saltwater to increasing the temperature to above the normal, so I think about to homemade the lighting from garage lighting change to wood box. I wonder it will be working? i belived that three light are required for different time setting to turn on and off with different kinds of bulbs for saltwater needs.

No, its gloss white reflector, Do I need to add Metal Hydride with three lighting and lunar moon light, I like lunar moon. What kinds of bulbs do I need to get. I already draft desgins the lightinng canopy. 30 to 36 inches.

Planning to get two clownfishes, damsels and other fishes and invert and some corals, not many. I didn't decide what the corals in list yet but anonomes for clownfish for sure.

for what you want to keep, you will need better lighting. you don't necissarily need metal halide; you could go with t-5's. or you could just use one halide bulb. that should be enough for a 37g. you could try a hqi or a 250w single ended mh. check out some sites for retro kits. I bought from Scott at www.aquariumspecialty.com

he will steer you in the right direction.
