rock
just a thought i see the lfs sells lava rock pices i was wondering if anyone has tried or has any input as to why not take some lava rock that you can buy from just about any store for gas grills and glue some pices together to make bigger pices and use that for base rock any input would be helpfull thanks

Do a search here for lavarock and you will see the concerns. Basically, the unknown composition of the rock is't worth the risk. Who knows if something will leach into the water and cause problems.
