TOTM: 7-17-07 ASM G2 mods

I just purchased a ASM G2 protein skimmer and have been reading about modifications that you can make to these in order to get better performance. I am planning on making the gate valve mod and the recirc mod to this ASAP! My question is that i have heard a lot about a "mesh" mod that you can do as well but have not been able to find anything on it? Can someone explain what the "mesh" mod is and how to achieve it? Thanks!!

That is where I got the idea of the recirc and gate valve mods. I had heard someone say something about a mesh mod but not sure what that was. Thanks for the information.

I have an ASMG4. What would the different be if these mods were done on this model?

Reefland - that is exactly what I was talking about. Thanks for all the help.

Making these mods have helped a lot of people get better performance out of a already great skimmer. I am planning on making all three mods to my skimmer ASAP. I will let you know as soon as they are completed!

Here is the Mesh mod, Will work with any pump out there for skimmers. Its easy and very productive. I have done these on Ocean Runners and man what difference.

Thanks Ryan... I'm glad the video made a difference.
