You don't need a wet/dry filter, all you need is a smaller tank (say 10 gallon tank) with a few baffles to make a sump for your tank.

go buy a small tank, like the ten gallon mentioned abouve, and throw in at least two pieces of glass to act as a baffle, (preferably three, , over, under, over).

Put the drain on one side of the baffles and the return pump on the other.

If you can afford the space, step up in size fo rhte sump as large as you can handle. You will benefit by having a larger volume of water to maintain and resist sudden changes in parameters, (It would tak longer to change temp, etc...)

If you can have a larger sump, you can incorporate a refugium for some macro-algae growth to aid in de-nitrafying and oxygenating, and you could also maybe have sufficent room fora better skimmer...

Let us know what is up and if you want more info...

Hey Bill

Either you can do a search on our search engine for sump design or check out this thread ....it has some great pics/design layouts that may help you grasp the idea of sumps. Like mentioned by Scott & Bill try to ditch the wet/dry as a good sump design will take care of the need for the wet dry and a wet dry will only cause you excess nitrates and more maitenance time then needed.

HTH
